August 31, 2014- Feelin' Blessed!

by - 8:03 AM

It was a hot, beautiful friday at the cafe.
The girls were jellin over  customers who got to enjoy a cold beer outside!

Straight off work: "I'm gettin mine!"
$5 beers during happy hour, and they're happy!

Meanwhile, I ordered this banana sugar pancake thing.
It tasted good, but not enough to scale $10. I felt ripped off!

Had to cut the girl talk short :( Ran to meet up with bf to watch the
fireworks over at Docklands!

The fireworks happened over the bridge too <3

Lots of people showed up since it was the last of the season.
The odd thing about Melbourne is that they have this thing called
"Christmas in July" because it's pretty awkward celebrating Christmas
here when it's +30 degrees in december (and the seasons are flipped!)

We actually forgot to celebrate out monthsary this month! lol
We did decide to only count every 6 months after the first year. :)

Check out more photos from this night! (will be posting it
separately)

It got pretty chilly already, so we scoped out a restaurant
to eat and hang out in. I saw that they were serving fish and chips
and immediately went inside! haha. I'm so glad he's not picky and
goes along with whatever i'm craving for that week :D

We were people-watching while waiting. There was this young-
looking couple that had a little girl with them. We were debating
whether that was their child or their little sister...
heheh (I think it's the former)

I would give this a 5/10 :p
I liked everything okay, but wouldn't recommend this place
or plan on eating here again.

REDEMPTION!!!

The next day we met up with Jesse's co-worker and her husband
to visit a korean restaurant.

This was definitely a 9/10.
Mook Ji Bar @ 406 Lonsdale St

Too bad we didn't get to take a picture with them!
Next time for sure :)

For now, here's some food porn!

We talked and ate til we couldn't move anymore.
It was so sweet of them to pay for the meal~

(。◕‿◕。) Hong Kong desserts are the best!
This is the cookies and cream shaved ice one.
It was good, then 20 bites later it tasted like diabetes...lol

Deleting people on facebook. This month, I deleted about 150+ people.
People who I felt neutral about, people I didn't really know much.. people
who I thought just wanted to creep but didn't really want/have a relationship
with me. It felt so GOOD to get rid of that extra baggage.

Deleting all those people made me appreciate the ones that I did keep on my
friend's list. I was inspired to message people who I cared about but haven't
said hi to in months, and even years. The beauty of those relationships is that
they were built with strong foundations. We may have missed years of catching up,
but in spite of the distance, the friendship and trust remains. I feel so blessed
to have those connections in my life.

Love,
Chelsea
