July 18, 2015- Family Camping in Waterton
July 18, 215-- I found myself really excited to go on this camping trip to Waterton, Alberta, because it was my first out-of-town trip for the Summer. I'd started summer school on the second day of July, and by week two, I was already piled with homework! I really needed to get out of town, and this family trip was the perfect excuse.
Oh, and did I mention that it was our first family camping trip ever? Yup! Without further ado, here's the ginormous tent we spent the night in. It fits about seven people and even has a little lounge area by the entrance.
It was incredibly windy that day!
Within hours of getting there, we went on the boat tour which took us to Goat Haunt, Montana.
It takes about 50 minutes to cross the lake.
It's fascinating to see the divide between Canada and America as you pass by the mountains.
If you ever wanna be in two places at once, try stepping on their side of the park and our side of the national park :)
We love it when weather reports are accurate :D

Waiting by the dock!
Just had to take a snapshot of these on the side of the road :)
Walking back to the car to drive over to the Prince of Wales hotel:
It looks just as gorgeous at night!
July 19-- The second and last day.
We took our parents hiking to The Bear's Hump. It's about a 240m/787 ft climb to the top and takes about 30 minutes to do. It was hilarious watching my dad stop every five minutes to take a break. LOL. But to be fair, the first time I did this mini hike, I also got exhausted pretty quickly!
That view though.
SO WORTH IT!
Going back was a bit of a challenge on the knees! haha

Turned around and five minutes later, my sister is on the other side of the lake. haha!
Til next time! We had a lot of fun that weekend :)
