Chelsea // Hello hello :) It's been a while since our last post (it seems)! I'm gonna try to blog on a more weekly basis so I won't have to sift through so many photos and try to remember details from weeks ago :p
We've been really busy attending birthday parties & going out these past few weekends. If we're not out, we're skyping with family, catching up on chores [and SLEEP!] and groceries. I WISH we could have 3-day weekends. haha.
This weekend, we went to the Tesselaar Tulip Festival which was literally across the city from us. We took the train at 11:05 a.m and arrived at the venue close to 2 p.m -___- I was a little motion sick from all that travelling. Was not impressed by how far it was.. but I guess it seems like everything is far away since we live at the butt-end of the West. Anyway, Jesse and I were so surprised to look out the train to see the forest and mountains outside.
Middle of nowhere (lol)
Our view at the entrance
Apparently this place has around 500,000 tulips!
It was hard to find a spot to take pictures in because so many people were there!
Freedom!
Jesse says it looks like a cartoon / painting :D
Both our moms would've loved this!
Pretty pathways

Tractor rides!
Finally found someone to take our photo!
Clashing prints :p
Orange-yellow tulips
Me with my $5 boots, which have to retire soon because they look so bad now D:
Rows and rows of the stuff
Floating jesse!
Beautiful <3
I love this shade of pink.
The bike outside the clogs shop
The tulip festival was Dutch-inspired, so they sold clogs. Cool!
My gluten-free Salted caramel icecream + waffle cone. yummeh.
On the way out we saw these two beautiful Alapacas!!!
Check out those arms ;) mwahahahahaha all those weeks of working at the cafe have done me good.

I even asked him to pose like me! Here's proof:
Assorted tulip colors (◕‿◕✿)
Don't mess with us or we will STEP on you!!!~ hehehe
Overall, it was a nice day out and we also enjoyed the little food booths around the area.

Jesse was reunited with one of his tour mates from Southeast Asia! It was great to meet you, Julia! Also pretty sweet to meet her bf Len who is from Vancouver. Canadians, whaaaat! We met up on Friday night and decided to go for Indian food :)
Mango Lassi, coconut rice, butter chicken, buttered naan
One of my lunches this week: an iced mocha & some home-made pasta
$8 pork & spring rolls w/ vermicelli @ the Viet place close to home!
Jesse is still on the quest to find the best tasting pho.
He rates this as a 6 out of 10 :)
